An Experimental AI-Generated Dance Film
Illusive Swallowing emerges from my personal journey with hearing impairment and the relentless, engulfing onset of tinnitus. The sonic experience of tinnitus is not just noise—it is a force that suppresses, devours, and consumes, swallowing me whole until my voice disappears.
To convey this overwhelming sensation, I fuse AI-generated imagery with filmed dance movements, focusing on involuntary body spasms. The AI visuals do not merely coexist with the dancer’s body—they overpower it, consuming and dictating the movement as though swallowing it from within. The layering of these two moving images creates a haunting interplay between human expression and mechanical distortion, mirroring the suffocating sensation of being engulfed by uncontrollable, all-consuming sounds.
