Symbiotic Silence
Virtual Reality Film with interactive haptic experience
With the intention of sharing how I hear in daily life, I create a virtual reality journey with haptics and sculpture.
Trembling, blurred sound moves beyond language and violence, inviting visitors to briefly become me and sense sound differently.

Installation View
This composite image shows the physical setup of Symbiotic Silence. Across four frames, a participant sits on the fungal chair, alongside close-ups of the chair and embedded speakers. Sound is delivered as vibration through contact and posture, grounding listening in the body before any visual narrative appears.
Virtual reality animated film (four-scene journey)
This composite image shows four scenes from the VR film Symbiotic Silence. Viewers embody a cow whose hearing is dulled by repetitive labor and pesticide exposure, moving from a hearing-dominated system into a fungal world where mycelium replaces language. Silence shifts from loss to resonance, forming a post-hearing mode of communication.
